Maternity Sneak Peek

I love this couple!  They are fun and sweet and everything a baby could possibly want!  Maternity sessions are one of my favorites.  I always think how neat it would be to see pictures of my mom when she was pregnant with me.  And there really is a glow about a pregnant woman! I am so happy to be apart of this sweet time in their lives!

Location, Location, Location? Why Location isn't Nescessarily as Important as You Might Think....

I LOVE an awesome, fun or beautiful location for photo shoots!  A sprawling green pasture, an old, run down alleyway - these are fantastic!  HOWEVER, there have been many times when I've done a shoot where the location hasn't been "absolutely perfect."  Usually, Mom is worried that the lawn isn't perfectly manicured, or "the mums haven't been planted yet."  The purpose of this post is to let all of you Moms out there know - it's totally ok!  You know why?  Because my absolute FAVORITE shots have NOTHING to do with location.  They have everything to do with an expression, a face and my favorite, favorite, favorite thing - BEAUTIFUL LIGHT! 

Digital Welcome Packet

I have found in this digital age that it has become harder and harder to find the time to communicate everything I would like to my clients.  Between playing phone tag, e-mails and Facebook posts I found it difficult to get all the information to them that I felt they wanted or needed.  Well - here's my answer (hopefully).  It's my new digital Welcome Packet - and it was so much fun to design!  The best part - you get to "flip" the pages!  Turn those speakers up baby!  It's like reading a real book!  Enjoy!

Fall is Here in this Month's "What to Wear!?"

One of the funnest parts of being a photographer is getting to put together these fun "What to Wear" guides.  It allows me a chance to step out of the box and put together outfits that I myself would LOVE to own.  Reality, however, usually finds me in worn faded jeans and a t-shirt.  If I'm feeling really fancy I may tuck my jeans into my boots or throw on a fun scarf.  But here, on this site, I can dream anything up that I want - how cool is that!?  It's shopping and photography mixed together.  My two favorite things!
