Love That Shot! is having a just for fun link up contest on their blog this week and I thought it would be fun to participate. What do I love about this shot? The lighting was great and I'm a sucker for catch lights. I did a lot of cropping, some subtle sharpening and ran a vintage-style black and white action over it. Shot with my 50mm 1.8 in bright afternoon light.
This image is one I published in the series on light. It was actually shot about 8:00 at night. It was very dark - but again - was used as an example of how you can work with different lighting conditions to achieve the look you want. Oh - and of course I love both of these images because the little girl in them holds my heart.
